Kristiyano Islam Peace Library Inc. · Since 2008
Peace is built by the young people who choose to build it.
KRIS for Peace educates, empowers, and inspires young Filipinos to lead peacebuilding in their own communities. Now we're building that same movement across Southeast Asia.
Why we exist
Education is how we build a more peaceful world.
The Philippines has the largest generation of young people in its history, and many of them grow up in communities shaped by conflict and poverty. KRIS started with one interfaith family's peace library in Zamboanga in 2008. It's grown into a national and regional movement since.
